Our story
Pop Collectors Alliance was originally started as a passion project by Ricky Steelman and Sean Piper. A way to share information with Funko collectors and create a community where new collectors can come to learn and seasoned collectors can share their information.
After 9 months of work Pop Collectors Alliance has grown from a weekly podcast into a brand with a dedicated community backing us through thick and thin. We continue to push forward and experience exponential growth from month to month.
The Podcast
Our podcast has garnered a truly dedicated following. Over the past 9 months we have grown to over 6,000 monthly downloads. From month-to-month we have seen a consistent 20% increase in viewership. We are currently found on all major podcast platforms.
The Website
Our website has experienced incredible growth over the past 6 months. We have expanded from 200-300 visits to 10,000 visitors in July, 2018.

A Quick Case Study
Prior to San Diego Comicon we were seeing anywhere in the neighborhood of 1,000 – 2,000 hits on our website each month. Leading up to SDCC 2018 we made a major push to create new articles, held special events, overnight streams, and specialized episodes of the podcast. We saw a major increase in our social media following and visits to our website.
On the Thursday night release of Funko’s shared convention exclusive releases, we were able to generate over $15,000.00 in sales across 3 major retailers (Hot Topic, Barnes and Noble, and GameStop) all originating from affiliate links from our website and Facebook pages.
