Community Policy

Here at the Pop Collectors Alliance, our mission is to help bring collecting back to the collector. We do this first and foremost through the creation of an amazing and helpful community. We want to garner a sense of family. Much like a family, you will sometimes meet up with that uncle at family functions that you just cannot stand. You want to tell off Uncle Jerry every chance you get. You just can’t stand this guy, but guess what? That’s not going to make your parents very happy. Instead, there are times you just have to grin and bear it. Don’t disappoint your parents if you come across an Uncle Jerry.

Be Smart.

If you have something that could be construed as negative, hurtful, or mean, do everyone a favor and keep it to yourself. We try to keep everyone as positive as possible. We know there are times that you want to share stories with the community and that’s great. When you want to call someone out on their behavior or point out another person’s ignorance, that is not. Leave that to the admins, after all that’s why we are here.

Be Fair.

There is always going to be someone more knowledgeable than you and others that are less. Everybody started somewhere and we need to treat everyone with the same level of courtesy. If someone asks a question that you feel could be solved with a quick Google search, there is no need to point it out. Either help that individual or ignore the comment.

Be Vigilant.

Keep an eye out for strange or suspicious behavior. If you see someone being bullied, harassed, or just plain acting weird contact an admin. You trying to step in and put someone in their place ever ends well. Don’t stress over others, just have fun.

You Done Messed Up. Now What?

In the instance that you decide to act like a jerk, you will receive a warning. Sometimes we goof, and that’s ok. If you do it again you are banned from commenting. It’s that simple. If you have issues with that, message an admin (their name will have a PCA Admin badge). We would be glad to discuss any issues that you have. We want to promote a tight-knit community. There is no place for rude and hateful individuals amongst our ranks.
